What exercise should I do, how do I do this exercise, how many reps, how much weight do I lift? All of this is automatically outlined for you in your daily work out which is actually 3 times a week (this may be emailed to you, printed, or interactively used via a mobile app-our favorite). We use a percentage of your One Rep Max to determine how much you lift, and our Exercise Glossary has every exercise you will use, with proper form pointers, pictures of how to do them, and a definition of what muscles they benefit.
When should I up the weight I’m lifting? Every 3 weeks you will refresh your One Rep Max. If you are moving forward keep moving. Everyone progresses at different speeds, muscles progress at different speeds. You don’t know unless you test yourself and know what you are testing for. We will guide you
When do I switch exercises, switch programs, change how many reps I’m lifting? How do I avoid the dreaded plateau? Every 3 to 6 weeks you will be changing phases (read more about the phases below), when phases change reps change, exercises change, giving your body a fresh start, causing muscle confusion, avoiding plateaus. You will even have built in Rest periods in these changes. Yes rest for muscles is critical to moving forward, kind of like trimming split ends for your hair to grow healthy.
